A popular women’s shoe store successful expansion into clothing and accessories called for a larger and new retailing concept. A revitalized boutique evolved from repurposed existing structures, new fixtures, better lighting, improved flow, and more efficient inventory management. Initial feedback has been overwhelmingly positive; securing the store’s position as a strong independent retailer for years to come.

A white box approach was sought. Careful attention was paid to acoustics, ambient light levels, and material choices so that the architecture would not compete with inventory and merchandising. Constructed in just over six weeks, strategies were developed to fabricate as much as possible off-site. scarpa
