Aquaphalt is a nationally distributed high-performance, simple to apply, asphalt patch. An increasing demand warranted construction of a new 42,000 square foot manufacturing facility. Aggregates are delivered, cooled, mixed with additives, then packaged and shipped. An administrative control, conference, and porch headpiece is the company’s flagship space.

The straight forward layout is somewhat deceiving; thorough investigation and study of the manufacturing process had to reconcile current approaches with potential future use or methods. The design envisions increased automation in concert with deployment of electric vehicles. Central to responsible manufacturing is a solar array ready roof and power system. The layout was designed for robotic manufacturing and logistics and may one day work in concert with a fleet of electric powered trucks and tractor trailers, all powered by the sun.
